John Paul Rodier
John-Paul has been practicing massage for nearly 20 years. With a strong background in deep tissue massage he has developed a unique approach which considers muscle relationship imbalance, tensional patterns, and functionality. His work is very specific, intuitive, and thorough. With an ability to hone in on areas of tension/constriction within the tissue, he allows the tissue to dictate depth and opening, to bring release of tension and relaxation to the system. It is a conversation between systems. At times John-Paul integrates fascial manipulation into his sessions as well as cupping therapy if indicated. After years of doing massage work, led by a desire to advance his understanding, skill and approach, he began training in Rolf Structural Integration (SI), the original method taught by Dr. Ida Rolf. As well as massage, John-Paul now offers a three series of structural bodywork, informed by his training in SI. This work involves a process of unwinding, layer by layer, compensatory holding patterns and fascial tension. The result is a reorganizing of the structural segments of the body, bringing more balance and ease to the whole person.
